The overall purpose of the Australian Institute for Intergenerational Practice is to re-connect communities through the development, implementation and evaluation of intergenerational programs.
Our long-term vision is for intergenerational interactions and programs to be a normal part of our everyday life in both formal and informal settings.

Standards
Launched in February 2025, the Australian Standards set out ten principles for quality intergenerational practice. Certification begins with self-assessment, supported by AIIP, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This booklet helps you get started.
Global Intergenerational Week 2023
Join us for the Global Intergenerational Week taking place from the 24th to 30th of April 2023. This annual campaign seeks to unite individuals, groups, organizations, local and national governments, and NGOs who share a common goal of nurturing cross-generational friendships.
