Our Objectives
The objectives and principal activities of the Institute is to be a peak body in Australia to improve the health and wellbeing of younger and older persons through intergenerational practice by:
Promoting, advancing and advocating for intergenerational practices in Australia
Promote and share best practice in intergenerational programs with appropriate business, professional and government organisations in Australia and elsewhere
Develop and support current and new intergenerational initiatives including continued research in intergenerational practices
Develop professional development tools and training on intergenerational practice
Develop and support evidence-based intergenerational programs
Provide a central hub, a Collaboratory for information, resources and links to research about intergenerational practices
Provide workforce training, accreditation and credentialling capabilities for intergenerational practices
